Potassium sulfate encyclopedia

Colorless or white crystalline, granular or powder. No smell. Bitter taste. Qualitative hard. Stability in the air. 1 g soluble in 8.3 ml water, 4 ml water, 75 ml glycerin, insoluble in ethanol. Can increase the water solubility of potassium chloride and ammonium sulfate, but almost insoluble in saturated solution of ammonium sulfate. Aqueous solution is neutral, pH is about 7. Relative density 2.66. Melting point is 1067 ℃. Main purposes are serum biochemical test, kjeldahl nitrogen determination with potash, chemical fertilizer, catalyst, the preparation of other drugs, the preparation of glass, alum, etc.
